The sky has always held mystery for
many of us. Our telescopes and experienced amateur astronomers can
give you a greater appreciation of the wonders of the night sky. Every
year Outside Adventures combines astronomy and nature appreciation with
regularly scheduled events. We've viewed a lunar eclipse after an
evening kayaking intro, counted shooting stars and satellites that pass
over dark canyons in Arizona, biked down paths surrounded by brilliant
fall foliage, and hiked through wildflower reserves during peak season
just to appreciate their beauty. Special events, such as the solar
flares of 2003 that caused the Aurora Borealis to be seen as far south
as Pittsburgh, warrant their own listings. Keep an eye on this page to
see what new wonders are in store. |
